Satin Stripe

Satin stripe is a woven look, not a print: bands of satin floats sit next to a tighter plain ground, usually in the same colour, so the stripe reads as sheen. Hospitality programs often call the same idea hotel satin stripe or sateen stripe. Weaverine weaves it in production on waterjet looms with a dobby attachment on that same loom—not a separate jacquard hall. Specify fibre, weave ratio, band width, GSM, and finished width rather than copying a cotton thread count onto filament. Programs are 5,000 metres per specification; approve a woven sample in daylight. The long-float bands snag more readily than the ground.
