Peachskin Microfiber Fabric
An evaluation page for home textile buyers. Understand what the peach-finish process actually does to polyester, when peachskin is the right call for a bedding program, and what to review around GSM, width, printing, and MOQ before quoting.
What peachskin fabric is
Peachskin is 100% polyester microfiber that has been passed through a sanding (brushing) process after weaving. The process raises millions of micro-fibers on the surface, producing a soft, velvety hand feel with a subtle sheen. It is our #1 bestselling fabric, and the most common base our customers use for sheet sets, duvet covers, and pillowcases.
- Soft brushed surface with a cotton-like, peach-skin hand feel
- Fine microfiber surface that takes prints with strong color vibrancy
- Built for bedding programs: breathable, easy care, under 3% shrinkage
When buyers choose peachskin
Choose peachskin when
Peachskin is usually the right base when hand feel is a selling point of the finished product and the program needs softness without the cost of natural fiber.
- Softness against skin is a core requirement, as in sheets and pillowcases
- You plan to print and want a surface that holds vibrant color
- You want a cotton-like feel at polyester pricing and care performance
Choose other finishes when
Other routes can fit better when the product priority is something other than a brushed hand feel, or when the surface needs to stay smooth.
- You need a smooth, crisp surface, such as for embossing-led designs
- A washed, naturally crinkled look fits the product better than a brushed one
- The program is still open-ended and starting from greige gives more control
What the peach finish does to the fabric
The peach finish is a mechanical sanding and brushing process applied after weaving. Fine abrasive rollers raise a dense layer of micro-fibers across the fabric face. That surface change, not a chemical coating, is what creates the hand feel buyers associate with peachskin, and it is why the finish suits bedding so well.
Softness comes from the surface, not the yarn
Raising micro-fibers changes how the fabric touches skin. The result is a velvety, low-friction hand feel that holds up through repeated home washing.
The brushed face improves print presentation
The fine, even microfiber surface diffuses light slightly and carries disperse and digital prints with strong, saturated color, which matters for printed bedding lines.
Consistency depends on dedicated equipment
Peach-finish quality varies with sanding pressure and roller condition. We run dedicated sanding and brushing machines in-house, so the finish is controlled at the mill rather than subcontracted.
Specifications and customization boundaries
These are the baseline ranges buyers ask about most often for peachskin. The right weight, width, and finishing route still depend on your end product and target market.
| Parameter | Range / Note |
|---|---|
| Composition | 100% polyester microfiber |
| Weight | 75 - 120 g/m² |
| Width options | 150cm - 315cm finished |
| Surface treatment | Sanded / brushed (peach finish) |
| Shrinkage | Under 3% |
| MOQ | 5,000 meters per color / specification |
Peachskin can be combined with dyeing, printing, embossing, and functional treatments such as stain-resistant or antibacterial finishing. Treatment MOQs apply separately.
How buyers usually evaluate peachskin supply
Hand feel against a reference
Compare physical samples side by side with your current standard. Brushing depth and softness vary meaningfully between mills, so a verbal spec is not enough.
Print and color performance
If the program is printed, review strike-offs on the actual peachskin base. Color fastness runs Grade 4-5 for digital printing and Grade 3-4 for disperse rotary.
Consistency across bulk
Check GSM, width, and brushing uniformity between sample and bulk. Ask how the mill controls the sanding process across long production runs.
Commercial fit
Evaluate MOQ, sampling lead time, and shipping terms together with price. Peachskin MOQ is 5,000 meters per color, with digital printing available at no minimum.
When Weaverine can be a fit
You are building a bedding line around softness
Peachskin is our #1 bestseller and the base home textile brands worldwide use for sheets, duvet covers, and pillowcases.
You need printing on a brushed base
We run digital printing with no minimum and disperse rotary printing for volume, both on our own peachskin, so sampling and bulk stay on one base.
You need wide widths for bedding panels
Finished peachskin widths run 150cm to 315cm, covering full-width sheet and duvet constructions without piecing.
You need scaled, mill-direct supply
600+ waterjet looms, 200,000+ meters of daily output, and in-house sanding machines keep the peach finish under one roof.
